Year 1 life education excursion is tomorrow. Bus departs at 11:00am and will return to school at approximately 1pm.

Science experiment
Last week 1E learned about water filters and how they work. We discovered that water filters are used to remove impurities and solid particles from our water. They make our drinking water clean.
We then made our own filters and conducted a fair test to find out what substance filters water the best. We tested sand, white rocks, charcoal, dirt and an equal mix. We each wrote a hypothesis and the steps needed to make the experiment. Most students thought white rocks would work best because they look the cleanest.
After conducting the experiment, we were surprised to discover that charcoal worked the best because it produced the cleanest water. Take a look at some photos below.
