NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee.  It is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.

We are having an amazing week celebrating NAIDOC at Tighes Hill Public School. Take a look at some photos below.

Hall Of Fame Assembly

A huge congratulations to all of our Hall of Fame recipients for term 2!  Thank you to the choir and the Yadagi Boys from Callaghan College for performing at the assembly today, you were all fantastic.

 

Mastery Awards!

Well done to this weeks mastery award recipients and a special congratulations to Shiah and Evie who have now made it into the Hall of Fame!

 

Athletics Carnival!

Yesterdays athletics carnival was a huge success! A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers for helping out on the day and to Mr Slade for organising such a fantastic event.
